Do I need to use the deepweb if I want to to become a Legendarily good programmer?
Laurie Knight, Started programming on a ZX Spectrum in around 1982, been doing so ever since
Many people confuse the deep web with the dark net.
The regular internet is stuff you can find on Google/Bing etc.
The Deep-web is the content of sites, the sites which you might find on Google, but the deep content you would need to search once you got onto the sites themselves. (ie they have content which is not fully indexed by Google, for one of several reasons)
The Dark-net is parts of the internet you can only get to if you have the right software and you know how to find the sites, ,and theoretically you're browsing on the Dark-net cannot be tracked by your ISP or Government. (The right software being mainly Tor). The Dark-net is full of content ranging from mildly illegal to highly illegal and immoral by most people's standards. There's even some stuff on it which isn't illegal at all.
Going back to your question, yes, it's a good idea to find sites which have good resources on subjects and search there directly rather than relying entirely on Google. If you limit yourself to Google results then you're missing out on a lot of the internet.
